Synopsis

In "Azure Echoes," the player will take on the role of an intrepid geologist in the midst of an expedition to find a mythical gem known as the Azure Ring; a precious stone in the shape of a ring, currently hidden deep within an ancient abandoned mine. However, what begins as a simple expedition quickly turns into a battle for survival when the bridge to the gem collapses under their feet, causing them to fall to the bottom of the mine, facing almost certain death.

"Azure Echoes" is an FPS/Action-Adventure game with elements of horror, set in a crumbling mine. The player must utilize the few tools at their disposal: a miner's helmet with a dying flashlight and a Mauser C96 pistol abandoned by its previous owner, now lying near their corpse.


This blockout highlights my skills in spatial design, pacing, and player guidance, demonstrating a clear understanding of level design principles learned in the "Level Design" subject and the ability to create engaging and intuitive game environments. My work on this project was recognized for its creativity, precision, and the effective translation of conceptual ideas into a functional and immersive game level.
